DHS-ILP partnered with Polk Youth Services, Inc., to host the DREAM Conference. This Oregon based youth conference is focused on preparing and planning for a post-secondary career, education, and training. This was an excellent event, including a Career, College & Resource fair! Additional Information: FosterClub's All-Star panel ran as it has in previous years to provide youth attending perspective about the difficulties and successes their peers have experienced in the pursuit of their education. The panel focused also on topics relating to education such as; employment, transitioning from foster, health care, transportation, etc. FosterClub's All-Stars connected and encouraged youth participation in all workshops and activities over the course of four days, providing good role modeling and bonding through peer relationships. Working with conference coordinators to produce a fun connected atmosphere per FosterClub's youth development model. If you are interested in more information about how FosterClub can help at your next conference, please contact FosterClub at training@fosterclub.com!
