The 9th Annual California Foster Youth Education Summit (FYES) includes discussions, presenters, and workshops detailing best practice ideas on data, evaluation and technical assistance that move LCFF forward and work to close the achievement gap for students in foster care.
Youth that attended the FosterClub Youth Leadership Academy: Received extensive training, prep, and support for meaningful participation at the Education Summit. Participants gained essential, transferable leadership skills in a fun, interactive setting; and had the opportunity to connect with other young leaders!
FosterClub's Youth Leadership Academy Training Elements Included: Strategic Sharing, Youth Adult Partnerships, Child Welfare 101, Team Building Activities, & Legislative Visit Prep.
